Job Purpose
To lead and drive the organization’s EHS & ESG strategy by ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering a zero‑harm culture, managing risks, and promoting sustainable practices across all operations.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Lead the function at site
Ensure implementation of company’s Policies at site
To lead Ehs function for the plants
Implementation of Permit to Work system and Management of Change (MOC) processes at site.
Ensure compliances for ISO 14k, 45k , 50 K
Direct & lead site Crises management.
Ensure 3 layered & 360 degree guarding for machines working at site.
100% statutory compliances for site.
Scheduled safety exercises on different EHS aspects (fire, natural hazards etc.)
Take lead and celebrate EHS events (Road safety month, National safety Day, World Env. Day etc.) at site.
Coordinate & lead SPS & EHSA assessments
Regular tracking of ESG_ Sustainability KPIs at company level.
ESG dashboard preparation, updations & sustenance for the site
Creating metrics to track progress towards goals such as greenhouse gas emissions reduction or water conservation goals
Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals present proposals, presentations & recommendations to Top Management & other important stakeholders
Facilitate and prepare Annual EHS & ESG Reports at site level to stakeholders
Developing and providing training to all stakeholders and handholding for the effective and smooth execution of projects
Overall execution, mission, and efficacy of the sustainability program of the company
Coordination for Identification & implementation of EHS projects at site
Statutory compliance with Govt. & global requirement for EHS & ESG.
Develops & maintains appropriate documentation and records including budgets and other financials.
Prepare documentation required for project funding for various EHS initiatives including proposals and grant applications.
Maintain current working knowledge of, and ensure compliances with, all applicable local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws and regulations.
Identifies and facilitates training as needed.
Conducting risk analysis and Site auditing
Ensure investigation of each incident & accident and their records.
Ensure safety induction training for all on-roll & off-roll new employees
Ensure all time readiness for all safety critical equipment’s available at site – Fire Hydrant System, PA System, Potable extinguishers, Fire detection & alarm system etc.
Contractor Safety Management at site.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
PDIS/ B. Tech/ PG in Env. Science, bachelor’s degree in related field required
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment
Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationship with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority

Experience of working in Lead Acid battery Manufacturing Process
