Qualification/ Personal Attributes  

Lead the end-to-end development of GTI and Hybrid inverters, from architecture definition to compliance certification. Drive innovation in topology selection, control algorithms, and hardware design while ensuring adherence to standards. Mentor cross-functional teams to deliver high-reliability, cost-optimized solutions for renewable energy, energy storage, and industrial applications. 

 

  • Master’s/PhD in Power Electronics + 10+ years in inverter design. 

  • Control techniques (dq-frame, PR regulators, PQ control, anti-islanding algorithms). 

  • High-frequency topologies (LLC, DAB, ANPC, HERIC) and SiC/GaN. 

  • Simulation (PLECS, Simulink) and PCB design (Altium) and DFx. 

  • Grid compliance testing (harmonics, flicker, ride-through). 

  • Leadership: Managed 5+ engineers. 

  • Microgrids/V2G experience, functional safety (ISO 13849), or digital control (C2000, FPGAs). 

  • Startup/scale-up exposure (agile execution)

Job Description  

  • Lead hardware design for grid-tied/hybrid inverters (2kW–150kW). 

  • Define topologies (HERIC,T-type, ANPC, SiC/GaN), modulation techniques (SVM, SPWM), and control algorithms (anti-islanding, LVRT/HVRT). 

  • Own magnetics, thermal, EMI/EMC design and FMEA. 

  • Ensure compliance with IEC 62109, IEC 61727, IEEE 1547, UL 1741. 

  • Manage pre-compliance testing and certification audits. 

  • Manage hardware/firmware teams; drive NPI timelines and cost optimization. 

  • Collaborate with suppliers (semiconductors, PCB vendors). 

  • Research bidirectional inverters, virtual inertia, AI-driven maintenance. 

  • Patent novel solutions.
