An Electromechanical Designer plays a critical role in the Design and development and integration of electrical and mechanical systems. This position requires a strong foundation in both engineering disciplines to create innovative solutions that enhance product functionality and efficiency.

 

This position for an Electromechanical Designer specializing in Power Solution business or equivalent business requires knowledge of wiring harness design in and electromechanical components and knowledge of Creo, Creo Cabling and Creo Schematic or equivalent software.

 

Qualification/ Personal Attributes

Qualification

  • Bachelors / master’s degree with specialization in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical

Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with specializing in Design and development of Electromechanical parts (Wiring harness, Switch, Socket, Fuse, Bus Bar, Transformer etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Electromechanical components, Wire, Terminal , Fuse , Switch , Transformer , Connectors , etc.
  • Extensive experience using Creo (Creo parametric, Creo Cabling, Creo Schematic) for 3D modeling, design of electromechanical Parts,
  • Experience in building and testing prototypes to validate designs against project requirements and regulatory standards. And prepare the technical document.
  • knowledge of Teamcenter for effective product data management (PDM), including version control, change management, and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience in conducting thermal testing of inverters to evaluate thermal performance, ensuring that designs meet operational requirements under various environmental conditions.

Skills & Attributes

  • CAD Software Proficiency software such as Creo and AutoCAD for creating detailed designs and Drafting
  • Familiarity with tools like Teamcenter for managing product data, version control, and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and Selection of Wiring harness and components

 

Job Description

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop detailed designs for wiring harnesses and Electromechanical parts, including schematics and 3D models, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough validation and testing of prototypes / sample to ensure functionality, reliability, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order status, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Coordinate the procurement of samples from suppliers and obtain quotations for components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Provide technical support to the plant team during the manufacturing process, addressing any design-related issues that arise and facilitating smooth production operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless integration of wiring harness designs and electromechanical parts into overall product development.
