The Sr. Manager - Stores will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end store operations, inventory management, warehousing, dispatch, and logistics activities for the Gopalpur Solar Plant. The role will ensure uninterrupted material availability for production, effective inventory control, timely dispatch of finished goods, adherence to safety and compliance requirements, and optimization of warehouse processes for Solar Cell and Solar Module manufacturing operations.

Qualifications & Experience
- 12-15+ years of experience in Stores, Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Logistics functions.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within Manufacturing, Solar, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Semiconductor, or Process Industries.
- Experience in Solar Cell/Module Manufacturing will be highly preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Logistics preferred.

Key Responsibilities
1. Stores & Warehouse Management
- Oversee receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, spare parts, WIP, and finished goods.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of Solar Wafers, Solar Cells, Solar Modules, and other sensitive materials to prevent damage and quality deterioration.
- Develop and implement warehouse management strategies to maximize storage utilization and operational efficiency.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with warehouse safety norms.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
2. Inventory Management & Control
- Ensure accurate inventory accounting and maintain optimum stock levels.
- Drive inventory control practices including FIFO/FEFO methodology.
- Conduct periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
- Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete stock and initiate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, and Production teams to ensure material availability and minimize stock-outs.
- Ensure inventory reconciliation between physical stock and ERP records.
3. Dispatch & Logistics Management
- Lead dispatch planning and execution of finished goods to customers, project sites, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Ensure timely preparation and verification of delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, gate passes, and shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with transporters and logistics service providers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitor transportation costs and drive logistics optimization initiatives.
- Manage returns, transit damages, replacement shipments, and customer dispatch-related concerns.
4. ERP & Documentation Control
- Ensure accurate transactions and inventory records in SAP HANA, SAP MM, or other ERP systems.
- Maintain inventory reports, stock movement reports, GRNs, issue slips, and dispatch records.
- Prepare MIS reports related to inventory, consumption, stock ageing, dispatch performance, and logistics costs.
- Support internal and external audits through proper documentation and record management.
5. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements related to stores and warehouse operations.
- Enforce EHS practices for handling solar manufacturing materials and finished products.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, storage guidelines, and material traceability requirements.
- Support audit activities and implement corrective actions arising from audit findings.
- Drive a zero-loss, zero-accident culture within warehouse operations.
6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop warehouse, stores, dispatch, and contract manpower teams.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and drive capability building of team members.
- Coordinate closely with Production, SCM, Procurement, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Sales teams.
- Manage transporter and warehouse vendor relationships and monitor service-level performance.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence within the stores function.
7. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Implement lean warehousing and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Drive improvements in warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, and turnaround times.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction in storage, handling, and transportation.
- Lead digitalization and automation initiatives within stores and warehouse operations.
