The Assistant Manager – Instrumentation will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, calibration, and smooth functioning of all instrumentation and automation systems across the plant. The role will support uninterrupted manufacturing operations by maintaining process control systems, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification/ Personal Attributes
Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
5-8 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within manufacturing plants.
Experience in Solar Module Manufacturing, Battery Manufacturing, Electronics, FMCG, Chemical, or Process Industries preferred.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Management
Manage operation and maintenance of LT/HT electrical systems.
Ensure reliable functioning of transformers, switchgear, PCCs, MCCs, APFC panels, DG sets, UPS systems, and distribution networks.
Monitor plant power consumption and implement energy efficiency initiatives.
Ensure statutory compliance related to electrical installations and operations.
Conduct periodic inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
Instrumentation & Automation
Maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, sensors, transmitters, and field instrumentation.
Ensure proper calibration of instruments and process control systems.
Support troubleshooting and optimization of automation systems.
Coordinate automation improvement and digitization projects.
Maintenance & Reliability
Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Conduct root cause analysis of electrical and instrumentation failures.
Monitor equipment health and recommend reliability improvement actions.
Ensure availability of critical spares and maintenance resources.
Utility Support
Support operation and maintenance of compressors, HVAC systems, chillers, and utility equipment.
Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production processes.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to electrical safety regulations and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
Ensure statutory compliance and audit preparedness.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain electrical single-line diagrams, equipment history records, and maintenance logs.
Generate maintenance reports and KPI reviews.
Ensure timely closure of SAP maintenance activities.
Team Management
Supervise technicians and contractors.
Conduct technical and safety training programs.
Coordinate with production, utility, and project teams.
