Senior Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Process Management

  • Supervise and control the plate manufacturing process (Grid Casting, Spine Casting, pasting, curing, & drying ).

  • Monitor production parameters to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

• Quality Assurance

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of plates for mechanical and electrochemical properties.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards .

  • Collaborate with the QA team to resolve defects and maintain product reliability.

• Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical solutions.

  • Support R&D in developing new plate designs and formulations.

  • Train operators and technicians on process best practices.

• Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety guidelines, especially in handling lead and acid.

  • Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.

• Continuous Improvement

  • Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize workflows.

  • Drive automation and modernization initiatives in plate production.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of lead acid battery chemistry and plate manufacturing processes.

• Experience with pasting machines, curing chambers, and formation .

• Familiarity with process control systems and statistical quality control.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.

• 3–5 years of experience in battery manufacturing or related chemical process industries.

• Knowledge of ISO standards, environmental regulations, and safety practices in lead handling.Preferred Attributes

• Certification in Lean/Six Sigma.

• Experience in automation and process optimization.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
