We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) Consultant to join our ERP team. The role involves leading SAP SD module implementations, providing solutions for complex business requirements, supporting end-users, and driving continuous improvements. The consultant will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring seamless integration of SD processes with other SAP modules.
Required Skill & Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
10+ years of experience in SAP SD, with at least 1–2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
Strong knowledge of:
Sales order management, quotations, contracts, pricing, and credit management.
Delivery, shipping, transportation, and logistics execution.
Billing, invoicing, and integration with Accounts Receivable.
Revenue recognition and account determination.
Hands-on experience in SAP Fiori apps, S/4HANA simplifications, and SD innovations.
Strong understanding of SD integration with FI/CO, MM, PP, and WM/EWM.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skill
SAP S/4HANA SD Certification.
Experience with SAP CRM, SAP CX (Customer Experience), or e-commerce integrations.
Knowledge of Global Trade Management (GTM) and transportation solutions.
Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies in SAP projects.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
Lead SAP SD module configuration and integration with other SAP modules (MM, FI/CO, PP, WM, etc.).
Gather and analyse business requirements, map them to SAP S/4HANA solutions, and design robust SD processes.
Execute SAP SD implementation, rollouts, and upgrades with hands-on configuration.
Configure key SD functionalities including Order-to-Cash (OTC), pricing, billing, shipping, credit management, rebates, and returns.
Business Process Optimization
Streamline and improve sales order management, delivery, billing, and credit control processes.
Provide recommendations for S/4HANA innovations such as Fiori apps and SAP Best Practices.
Support digital transformation initiatives and automation within sales & distribution functions.
Support & Troubleshooting
Provide production support, resolve complex incidents, and manage change requests.
Ensure smooth integration with non-SAP systems such as CRM, logistics, and e-commerce platforms.
Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot system issues, and propose corrective measures.
Optimize existing SAP SD processes for efficiency and automation.
Conduct system testing, UAT support, and training for end-users.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Act as an advisor to business leaders on SAP SD capabilities and roadmap.
Conduct workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions with end-users and junior consultants.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentor junior consultants.
Manage project deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
Ensure compliance with best practices and SAP standards.
