Qualification/ Personal Attributes

Education:

  • B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
  • Certification in ERP systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma (preferred)

Experience:

  • 3–6 years in PPC or Industrial Engineering roles in a manufacturing setup
  • Experience in battery, automotive, electronics, or process industries preferred

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of production planning tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic IE tools (e.g., MOST, AutoCAD)
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills

 

Job Description

  Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly production plans based on demand forecasts and inventory
  • Coordinate with procurement, stores, and shop floor teams to ensure material and capacity availability
  • Support shift-wise planning and line loading activities

  Industrial Engineering & Productivity

  • Conduct basic time studies and assist in layout planning and line balancing
  • Track productivity metrics and support improvement initiatives like 5S and Kaizen

  Capacity & Resource Planning

  • Support capacity analysis and manpower planning activities
  • Coordinate with maintenance for scheduling preventive maintenance without affecting production

  Inventory & Material Flow Management

  • Monitor WIP and raw material inventory levels
  • Assist in implementing Kanban and JIT practices to streamline material flow

  MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare daily production reports, variance analysis, and delay reports
  • Maintain planning dashboards and assist in monthly performance reviews

  Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and R&D for smooth production execution
  • Support new product trials and pilot production planning
