Education

  • B.E. / B. Tech/ Diploma in Material Science, Electrochemistry, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in quality assurance/control in battery manufacturing or similar industry
  • Hands-on experience in Tubular Battery Manufacturing and process quality management

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of battery manufacturing processes and quality standards
  • Proficiency in quality tools (RCA, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
  • Familiarity with SAP, ISO 9001, TPM and Quality Audit procedures.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Effective team leadership and communication abilities

 

 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Quality Management

  • Monitor and control quality parameters during Tubular Battery manufacturing.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and audits to ensure consistent quality output.

2. Defect Analysis & Corrective Actions

  • Analyse defects and deviations in Tubular battery Manufacturing.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain rejection and rework data and drive reduction initiatives.

3. Quality Systems & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain records of inspections, test results, and quality audits.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and dashboards to management.

4. Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians.
  • Conduct training programs on quality standards, inspection techniques, and defect identification.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership among production teams.

5. Customer & Internal Audits

  • Support customer audits and respond to quality-related queries.
  • Coordinate internal audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive Kaizen, 5S, and Quality Circle initiatives in the positive plate section.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D for process improvements and trials.
