Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering.
  • Experience: 5–8 years in battery manufacturing or similar industry, with hands-on experience in charging and packing operations.

 

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of battery charging and packing processes.
  • Ability to manage shift operations and manpower effectively.
  • Familiarity with production planning tools and ERP systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.

 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Shift Operations Management
    • Plan and execute charging and packing activities as per production schedule.
    • Ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime during the shift.
    • Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for quick resolution of issues.
  2. Quality & Process Control
    • Ensure compliance with SOPs for charging and packing processes.
    • Conduct in-process checks to maintain product quality.
    • Report deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
  3. Manpower Supervision
    • Allocate tasks to operators and contract workforce.
    • Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity during the shift.
    • Provide on-the-job guidance and training to team members.
  4. Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage.
    • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure zero accidents during the shift.
    • Maintain statutory and company compliance in operations.
  5. Reporting & Documentation
    • Prepare shift-wise production reports (output, scrap, downtime).
    • Update ERP/MIS systems for production data.
    • Communicate shift handover details to the next team.
  6. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify process improvement opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
    • Support Kaizen, 5S, and Lean initiatives in the department.
