Qualification/ Personal Attributes

Education:

  • B.Tech / B.E./ Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.

 

Experience:

  • 8–12 years in industrial engineering or supply chain roles in manufacturing.
  • Experience in battery, automotive or process industries preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with TPM , Lean , SAP systems and data visualization tools.
  • Man management ability to lead  cross factional team.
  • Project Management skill

 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Productivity & Process Optimization

  • Conduct time-motion studies, line balancing, and layout optimization.
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities across supply chain stages.
  • Implement TPM, 5S , ISO9001, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

2. Supply Chain Performance Monitoring

  • Develop and track performance metrics such as:
    • Throughput rate, Productivity, OEE
    • Cycle time, Lay out
    • Inventory turnover
    • Resource utilization
  • Use industrial engineering tools to analyse bottlenecks and improve flow.

3. Capacity Planning & Forecasting

  • Perform capacity analysis for production and logistics.
  • Align supply chain capacity with demand forecasts and production schedules.

4. Cost & Efficiency Improvement

  • Analyse cost drivers across sourcing ,production & Despatch
  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives through process redesign and automation.

5. Technology & Systems Integration

  • Support implementation of Automation ,  SAP, and digital productivity tools.
  • Use simulation and modelling software for scenario planning and optimization.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams to align goals.
  • Lead Kaizen events , continuous improvement & TPM workshops.
