Qualification/ Personal Attributes

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering
• 8–12 years of experience in plate manufacturing (preferably in Industrial battery)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in 5S, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM
• Hands-on experience with process simulation and automation tools
• Leadership, team & stakeholder management
• Knowledge of safety and environmental standards

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Industrial battery plate manufacturing
• Analyse process data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance process efficiency
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve product quality and reduce costs
• Collaborate with R&D and equipment vendors for process trials and technology upgrades
• Ensure adherence to quality & environmental standards (ISO etc) and regulatory requirements
• Implement robust process controls and preventive maintenance systems
• Mentor and guide process engineers and production supervisors
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and EHS teams to ensure seamless operations
• Support commissioning and scale-up activities for new lines or plants
